Ahoy there,

Progress over the last couple of days has been slow 70m Friday, 60m yesterday and from the pic you can see why, I’m caught in an area of high pressure, so everything considered its not too bad. It will change. By Wed/Thur there is an area of low pressure moving directly across my path about 300 miles ahead of me, so it actually suits me to slow down a bit to ensure I keep as far behind it as possible. At the moment its looking like I might meet a portion of it but it is weakening all the time. Hopefully by the time I get to it, it will have dispersed.  So far I’ve completed over 800 miles so approx 1/3 of the way to Azores. Water probably about 1/3 way although if include contingency probably only 1/4. Weather, its cooler especially in the evenings and at night I now use a cover. Plenty of food although only 3 Fray Bentos left. All the fruit has been eaten, could do with a nice crisp apple.

Difficult to predict arrival at Azores, 10 days so far and only a1/3 of the way suggests its another 20 days…..but when I look at the chart its about 1400 miles to go which at an average of 90 miles a day (my current average) is about 15 days. So between 15 and 20 days. It's sailing week in Antigua this week so I’ve still got a few more days before the crowd catches up on me. Last night I was over taken by a 150ft yacht and had a chat with the skipper on the radio. He left Antigua 19 April….
