Hello All,

Work up this morning and found a stowaway in the cabin, nearly trod on the poor fellow with bare feet as I got out of my bunk this morning. He or she is not very large maybe 4 or 5 inches with a v tail and black all over apart from some white markings on the wings also seems to have small webbed feet so possible a sea bird of some description or I was thinking a swallow blown off course on its way to Africa. My guess is he feel in from the open hatch during the night and remained on the floor hiding in a corner. I picked him up and he’s now on the top of the hatchway and hasn’t moved all day. Ive offered some water and bread and stuff but he hasn’t taken any. It doesn’t normally have a good outcome when birds land on boats as they have usually used up so much of their resources and energy when they get caught out by the wind that they have nothing left to live on but will see. At least he can now rest if nothing else and I sprinkle water on him every now and then.

Everything else ok, I’ve been reading the complete stories of Sherlock Holmes which is light reading…I think I’m more of a Watson fan than Sherlock Holmes. Sherlock Holmes to be honest is a bit up himself but Watson seems a good chap.

Having a quiet day and not played any music today as I don’t want to disturb birdy.

All for now
Ben
