38:25.8814N 22:25.2244E Thursday 16 May. At last all the boats of the rally are together, 9 in all. We had a very pleasant couple of days in Poros, which included a rally rendezvous dinner. This ended up as usual with more wine than food. Between Poros and the Corinth Canal we spent a wild night anchored in a little bay just short of the canal entrance.   After holding through near gale force winds eventually our anchor dragged in the early morning so we got out of there before we had a problem.

Friday 17th May.  Getting through the canal is tightly controlled, meaning we had to hang about near the entrance for over an hour, just going round in circles.  We were then called through as a group after, the eastbound traffic emerged, a freighter and some yachts. The usual pile of paperwork to fill out and payment of course, 244 euros for 5kms thank you very much, then on our way up the canal. It is a fantastic experience sailing through with cliffs rising high on both sides and the people on the bridges above looking like ants. The bridges at the start and end drop into the water and we were hoping they got the drop right and didn’t take our keel off. Too soon it was over and were out the other end heading west.
