St Lucia – We been very busy chilling out and spending time with our fellow sailors discussing and reliving the good bad and the downright ugly bits. Quite a few boats went swimming in the no winds areas (they were brave) but not us!  On Friday evening we went to the local street party just down from the marina. It was a good night with more socialising with other boaties  Speaking to one of the first ARC boats Caro that arrived in 10 days and some hours etc. beating the record by some 8 hours. There are still a few remaining ARC+ yachts to come in and hopefully they will be in the next few days. We developed an addiction to the local rum punch it was good, but had to order it – “rum punch but easy on the ice” (MacDonald's could learn form them).  Not that there was a problem with the ice we didn't want it watering down the drink.  A very good night was had by all with the some persons getting in at a ridiculous hour in the morning. Those nameless persons all complained that they were a little green around the gills and proclaiming an AFD (alcohol free day) which only lasted till ‘beer O clock’. The weather is very hot with intermittent squalls which helps to cool thing down.  Today we went down to the Capital  Castries which was very interesting then popping down to Marigot Bay for a spot of lunch. The trip was made more interesting by the very colourful stories as told by our taxi driver Felix, who seems to know everyone on the island. Tonight is an ARC do to celebrate our arrival. Hopefully it will be a tame evening.
