Cadiz - the tourist thing

We are having a day off from sailing and all set up to do a tourist thing. The city of Cadiz, Spain's sherry capital, is packed with history, which was absolutely wasted on us. It was the main Spanish port for all their loot from the Americas for the hundreds of years they over there. The cathedrals and numerous large open squares and endless narrow streets, where kamikaze scooter riders ruled, was almost like a step back in time. I think we might have got out of the way of doing the tourist things as we tended to gravitate to numerous street cafes and bars. It was very hot and heavy going and we required numerous refreshments. Lots old local names were obviously transport to Amercia, as we had San Francisco, Santa Barbara, and on and on.
