Those of you who have experienced the feeling of deflation that follows delivery of a major project or event which  you have worked at  24/7 for several weeks, as you try to return to normal occupying yourself with your day job again, might recognise some of the feelings aboard Serendipity in the week following the end of the Oyster Rally.

There was a wonderful feeling of accomplishment as we returned to the relative safety of the Caribbean in March  and then cruised gently northwards with ever increasing anticipation of the celebrations to come.

The Celebration to come……Ooo - er!

As ever though, however enjoyable, the Celebrations were quickly over; the Onesy was packed away and life had to begin over again.

We cast off on Monday, cooled off for a couple of  days in Les Saintes  before enduring a strangely unfamiliar ‘bit of a thrash’ south to Bequia.

We are presently in Tobago Cays and will move on gradually southwards en route to our Hurricane season haul out in Grenada next week with the prospect of flying home to the UK next week and returning to “normal” life in retirement at home  …………………………………..  whatever that ‘normal’ maybe!

Watch out Hawkley!
