We heard a radio message earlier this evening– some people proposing to swim between boats were warned to look out for Hammerheads.  Hmm, helpful advice after sundown. Still, it’s not a problem round here, we are so close to the shore the crocodiles have eaten all the sharks.

That aside, a quick report on the first day of the World ARC Snooker Tournament being hosted by Sapphire.  John has cleared his saloon for a mini table that  Laurent Bernaert arranged to be installed.  Not every boat is able to participate because paths have already diverged but there has been a good turn out today.  As we write the tournament progresses – or it would if anyone knew where Sapphire is at the moment!

Meanwhile the foredeck of Ensemble has become the scene for  the World ARC tennis tournament. The opening match was a close run mixed doubles contest featuring some fine rallies .  Unfortunately play had to be halted when  they lost a ball boy who dived in  to recover an overhit smash, only to be eaten by a Great White. Fortunately the ball was recovered and a pair of Dolphins are being trained to fill the vacancy.

Onboard Serendipity our maintenance programme continues. In an operation lasting nearly 3 hours we managed to unbolt the keel and clean it.  We hope to have the boat upright again by tomorrow.

Have a nice day1
