After 10 days along the dockside in San Miguel, we are now ready to go.  The intrepid quartet (Bob and David with Richard and Anthony) posed for a photo with the boat in the background:

Taking this photo was the valedictory act of Paul,  the most recent visitor from Oyster  who was here until last night giving us help and advice on how to maintain the ship (and leaving us a jobs list as long as your arm!

The last 10 days have seen Bob and I complete our diving certification, a Royal Visit by She Who Must Be Obeyed, and a list of preparatory and provisioning tasks. Quite the most tiring schedule for some time.

We now plan to set off to La Gomera briefly, (formally to completed immigration departure procedures from the EU) and then on to Cape Verdes. Watch this space.
