The sky is clear blue, it’s 30^oC in the shade: it must be Christmas! Everyone is happy, even the seals here in the Marina:

It’s four months and 8200 miles since we last were in England so we have packed the boat up in anticipation of a relaxing Christmas at home – feet up by the fireplace.  Peter and Terry left last night and I am closing down the systems ahead of leaving the boat for three weeks. Sadly, I have already been forewarned about the length of the list of jobs that await me at home!

So the Blog will be quiet now until say January 15.  In the meantime here are a couple of photos of Protea – a flower native to South Africa:
