Back in the Hamble after a gentle sail home, taking the opportunity to ‘swing the compass’ in mid channel, Serendipity is back on her berth.

We have achieved a lot in the last few days, tried out virtually every system and repacked and stowed and inventoried her. And developed confidence in her as a yacht and in our ability to sail her. Always comforting, that. She really is a lot faster than I had expected and particularly in light airs. Very refreshing!

There are a number of niggles to iron out, last minute spares and kit to buy but we are frankly pretty much ready for the off …… on Friday next week.
