Ardent bloggers may want to  watch our Panama Canal  Transit as we pass through Milaflores locks - the last two locks at the south end of the Panama Canal -  and exit into the Pacific Ocean. That is presently scheduled for about 17.00UTC  on Friday afternoon, 27th January.

The web cam is at:

We will be transiting as twelve yachts in four rafts, tied up three abreast. Serendipity will be in the middle of the third raft.

Our transit through Milarlores Locks is scheduled around 17.00 GMT.   But that is  only an estimate.  To know precisely when it will happen you can track the progress of the group at:

The positions on the site normally update every 2 hours. However, the position updates for the yachts at the centre of the front and back rafts  (and only those boats! …..  so no good looking at Serendipity’s image) will update every 10 minutes; that is Royal Leopard at the front and Southern Cross at the back.  If you follow them   you will have a good idea where the flotilla is and thus when we are likely to transit.  In that way you will have a good idea  when to look at the webcam – if you are interested!
