Delivery of this fine vessel – our home for the next few years -  was substantially completed over a 10 day period alongside the Oyster Commissioning Pen in Ipswich. In that period, we watched the mast come out for an ‘upgrade’ and be re stepped (a process that involves some delicate handling with some big machinery) and spent a great deal of time stowing and then restowing our gear.

The gear is an issue. One of the attractions of this model is the stowage capacity but it is substantially all down the starboard side – it is going to be a challenge to avoid establishing a permanent list to Starboard.

We did have a sail on hand over – the above picture was ‘grabbed’ from a short video clip that Bob made – and then another  sail tuning the rig following the mast re- step. There was very little wind on both occasions – a shortage to be made up in the future!
