Volcano visit

As you may well know the active volcano Soufrierre on Montserrat erupted ten years ago and destroyed three quarters of the island, including the capital Plymouth. We were intending to visit the island, but you are not allowed into the exclusion zone to see the devastation close to. We therefore decided on the jet set option, (after Mustique, certain standards have to be met), and went by helicopter. This was an amazing experience to fly around the top of a smoking volcano; and very sobering to see the total destuction of a town.
