We came to Lanzarote 'before' the boys were born. This was the island where Christine tested positive; come on pregnant with Jonathan ...............26 years ago. So we thought we had better revisit the old haunts. We hired a car and did the grockley thing, pottering around the island. Fire mountain with flaming branches plucked from the rock, geysers spouting, volcanic cones everywhere, camels (lots more than 26 years ago, a veritable herd now!). Then on to vineyards; how they grow is an unsolved mystery. Sculptures; what they represent is yet another mystery. We fixed the wind generator (hopefully), before watching the England-France game in the Irish bar. Apart from sailing-watches this ended up as our latest night out, as we were led astray by two English rugby supporters from Birmingham. The pay back was Christine made them walk 5km back to their hotel at pace; we think they survived. (Hi Andy and Paul if you read this great evening). Should be Fuerteventura tomorrow so topping up the boat ready for 80 miles at sea. (Going to the south of the island).
