This is the third time of doing this blog, and everyone is different: We have had a few technicals with Hotmail in Internet cafes and photo attachements, so hopefully it will work this time otherwise it aint gonna happen!

We have been risking life and limb to reach the highest spots in Nazare; as you will see from the photos, Portugese planning would seem to be quite relaxed with Cafes built out from the top of cliffs: One assumes a full geological survey was completed ........ In keeping with the fitness program, we had to cycle to the top, on what was the hottest day to date. (Then).

We then progressed to Lisboa, and of course on our cultural visit found the highest spot to attack, namely Castelo de Sao Jorge. This ended in high excitement when Christines irreplaceable Tilly hat blew off into an inaccessible moat: finally a nice security man climbed down and rescued it: We were so engrossed we forgot to take a photo. It did keep thousands, well a few, tourists amused, while he risked life and limb!

The weather has been fantastic of late, hot and blue blue skies: Without the breeze it would be too hot. (The man at the castle said it had been 47C in the grounds the previous day!!)
