Washington has been a wonderful experience and well worth the effort getting here. The Capital Yacht Club is a gem of a find, great hospitality and facilities, our 10 day stay could have been longer. It has been great to be able to walk just 10 minutes to be in the centre of the city. We took full advantage of the museums and had to be disciplined not to miss out on the we wanted to see as it is all too easy to be diverted. 

On the practical side we got the fridge fixed and did a bit of spring cleaning. We met up with MarySue and had a tour of the city from her comfortable car when outside it was sub zero and sleeting. The two day winter has encouraged us to head south so hopefully by the next blog  we will be back in shorts and t shirts.
