Just a brief entry and really only to post a photo of the amazing live
volcano we visited on the island of Tanna last week. In the sort of visit
that would have the Health and Safety people doing their nut in the UK, in
Vanuatu you can just wander up to the top of the crater and look in! We
spent sunset up there and were rewarded with the most spectacular natural
fireworks display...... the earth at her most raw. Mankind may come and go
and global warming may boil the planet but none of this is going to
disturb this bubbling cauldron of lava!
The other picture is of some young boys who were part of a team of dancers
who put on a show for us in their village. You can see from the enthusiasm
in there expressions how much they enjoy being involved.
We are now in the capital, Port Vila on the island of Efate for a few days
to pickup some supplies before heading further north up the chain.
