We are now 41 miles from Las Palmas and have averaged 7.0 knots since we put the spinnaker up this morning. So if we can keep up this speed we will be in port by about 5:30 local time, sunset is about 7:45.
We are all looking forward to an our first beer !! Moose is a “dry boat” when passage making.
Yesterday was dolphin day, we had around a hundred of them swim with us for nearly an hour. They were either bunched up across the bows, surfing in the waves next to us of showing off in the air. It was really quite a sight to see.
No fishing yesterday or today as slowing down under Spinnaker is quite difficult and Dickie didn’t want to be reeling in fish in at 8 knots.
