Safety First

In order to take part in the ARC or ARC+ each boat has to pass a stringent safety inspection, Captain Guy was determined that MOOSE was going to pass first time.

So while MOOSE sat peacefully on her berth, we spent our days visiting the local chandlers and making modifications on board. While Guy and I went over the check list one last time and I hoisted Guy to the top of the mast to fit another radar reflector the girls went in search of the world’s biggest vegetables!

Andrew turned up at 3pm as agreed in his bright yellow ARC T-shirt, and started with his lengthy tick list

Then, which was never really in doubt, Guy was congratulated on a fully conforming MOOSE, apparently very few boats make it through first time!

Once complete it was off for the first ARC sundowners to meet some of the other crews
