Having been concerned about yesterday’s anchorage, we were delighted to find a lovely bay with very little swell just a few miles short of our planned stop. So we decided to trade a good nights sleep for a few extra miles today. The sun was shining so we had a cheeky glass of wine and got the barbecue out !

We settled down to watch the rugby (via our Starlink) and the swell started to pick up, fortunately it wasn’t too bad and it died off again throughout the night.

Another early start with 78 miles to Sotogrande, at seven o’clock this morning it was very dark and there were several little fishing boats and some canoes all without lights shuffling around in the bay so we waited till the dawn started to break and then headed out of the bay

Here we are just a few hours from Sotogrande and all is well with the world. There are a few boats out to our port side but unusually none are troubling us

While in the Balearics we didn’t see many dolphins in fact only midway between the islands and we have see none along the Spanish coast but today we saw the best part of a hundred. Some swam by for a quick look, others stayed with us for a while and the remainder just carried on going about their dolphin business.

Now we have reached Sotogrande I won’t blog every day while we are there, but watch this space for when we set off for the Carary Islands, probably around the 20th September.
