As we could not reach Vigo, (the official customs port of entry) by nightfall we decided to anchor behind Cape Finesterre. When we arrived it looked more like Austria than Galicia, however it was a beautiful anchorage and we were the only boat in the bay. We hoped by arriving after office hours we would not attract the attention of any "officials" and felt safe to select the yellow "Q" flag from our signal flag collection showing that we required customs clearance. We were of course flying the Spanish courtesy flag as well! I think we had only been anchored for half an hour before we were boarded by three Spanish customs officers. An hour later and a carbon triplicate form filled in it was time for bed, The anchorage was completely still, Moose didn't move an inch, we all slept like babies after three long nights at sea. shame we had to get up at 4:30 to leave for Vigo.
