Tuesday 8th July- 9.30 BST
Under engine since 3.00am this morning
Winds  very light NN/W  , and under sail and with the swell its  just lolloping about
But we had made good progress preceeding with average speeds over 7knts
320NM achieved for the 2 days - that's a straight line from Audiern to our boat position, but we actually show a trip log of 390nm for these 2 days, as of course you never sail a straight line
Now 30 nautical miles off Cabo Villano N/W Spain having made a decision to carry on to Bayona a further 100 miles or so  , hopefully we will pick up the northerly trades when we get round the N/W corner of Spain
Everyone well and and Debs is recovered back in full flow

Picked up 30ft of fishing net (thick stuff) around the prop at  6.00am this morning and had to manhandle it off
This could have caused us serious problems but all action hero John Bonsor was on the scene and quickly got the engine out of gear, shinned down into the dinghy (no easy thing in ocean swell)and pulled it free.
All this badly aided by a very sleepy skipper (having been off watch at that time) and director of operations-from the side rails- Deborah
This area is the worst possible sea area catching unwanted lines and nets on your propellers which get discarded or lost from the many deep sea fishing vessels out here

Not all bad out here as plenty of Dolphin have swum along side, sometimes large pods, and  they occasionally look up at you as they leap out of the water saying "I can see you- look at me I can swim faster than you " and off they go and dive under the boat and zoom off. At night they look like a torpedo coming at the boat ,as you don't really see the Dolphin just their florescence in the water as they rush at you

Anyway must go as Deborah has made one of her splendid bacon rolls for brekkie
