Winds NN/E F4
Sailing poled out headsail making
7knts
Very comfortable downwind trades sailing due to
fixed pole and no swell to roll the boat.Brilliant blue sky and lots of
sun!
Portosin is a small town and was and is a
very pleasant place to stop and visit. The marina was very friendly with helpful
people and has a great nautical club where we had a splendid meal.
It has very little tourism other than the likes of us
as visiting Yachts people
Incredibly John met a English Bloke who had
just sailed in and who knew someone who had worked with John.- Small world-
especially as we were the only English in town
Anyway that was cause for them to celebrate and so
they did until the early hrs. And judging by the grin when he returned in
the early hrs - fun was had .
We are rested and relaxed after our stay and are
now doing 100 mile day sails on our way to Cascais
Heading !80T for Porto (Leixoes marina) that is
often closed in bad weather , which is not the case for us , as the weather is
glorious.
But enough of that or you may decide to stop
reading our diary . I heard you had quite a lot of rain with flooding in the UK
I hope not serious
