Greetings to all those hanging on - as well as
those who hav,nt
Heading South along the Portuguese west
coast
Have FOG / ENGINE / NO WIND / Pesky
Flies
Left POVOA DE VARZIM (a bit like it sounds - a
bit of a mini Bournemouth) at 7.00 in thick fog and thick
heads! - Not such a problem with the little amount of traffic on
the sea around here.
Arrived at Varzim (not Leixoes as
planned) after brilliant days sailing from Portosin - Spain at
8.00PM- 10 miles short of Porto, but not too disappointed as the following is
quoted from the Almanac regarding Leixoes the city,s marina "is
rather oily with limited facility"
Porto will only allow smaller vessels up its
river"- now that is a shame as its a most interesting city -another time
perhaps.
Heading now direct overnight to Cascais to
hopefully pick up our next valued crew Rhett Butler on Monday
So motor on as we are making good way to our
destination " quite frankly my dear I don't give a damn"
Guy Debs John
ps- Debs saw a baby shark today
