Well Sunday evening
and we have some good wind at 10 knots from the NW. Sailing on toward Lanzarote
at 6.5 knots.
A day that started with the engine powering us and
little or no wind gave the opprtunity to stop for a swim at sea. With the
atlantic at around 18 degrees C an opprtunity to get have a salt water
clean up.
The sea was lovely and warm and it felt good to
wash away two days of sweat and grime. We are all now smelling lovely espeially
Mike who has put his special sandlewood deodorant on for the occassion. We have
just had Tuna Pasta and my first attempt at bread rolls in the galley oven. They
turned out ok , not very crispy but coked all the way through . We are now on
the cofee and chocolate and waiting for the sun to go down. The engine has been
off now for 5 hoursand its great to hear the wind in the sails. We are expecting
the wind to pick up as we aproach the Canaries so should be in Ls Palmas
by tuesday night or weds early morning . Mikes underpants are drying well
on the rail ( thats his contribution to the log he does like doing his laundry
). Off to watch sunset now .
