MUHAMMAD COL
On Friday
morning, at Wreck Recovery Anchorage we had a visit from some fishermen.
We traded cigarettes and Coca-Cola for a nice grouper.
Friday turned out to be a really fishy day, as
later on, Intsomi caught a nice barracuda on the way to Muhammad Col, the fishing village on the mainland
coast.
We arrived at M.C. at three o'clock in the afternoon and have been left
alone, at anchor just off the village. From what we can see, there are
lots of goats, quite a few fishing skiffs with outboards, an abandoned soccer
pitch, many derelict huts and not many people. We have decided to
leave visiting until Saturday, it being the Islamic Holy Day on Friday.
