After a couple of short trips it was good to set out from Eagle island with forty miles to cover.  We started in flat calm at 0900 but, by noon, the old North wind piped up, and we enjoyed a nice sail at six and seven knots over pretty calm water to Ras Asis.  We are at anchor behind the headland here but quite open to the East.
Ras Asis is only forty five miles from the Eritrean border.  We had our papers and passports checked this morning before we left Eagle Island,
