AT ANCHOR IN THE LAGOON OF A CORAL REEF

We anchored for two nights inside the lagoon of a horseshoe shaped reef called Aby Galawa in the Fury Shoal.
The snorkelling on the West side of the lagoon was marvellous.
Both the number and the variety of fish was amazing.
The bright sun brought out the colours of the corals too.

There was even a small ancient wreck (a tugboat) at shallow depth.
We had very calm conditions which made the water crystal clear.
Just before we left we saw a shark (but only a small one)!
