There are not so many anchorages on this part of
the coast so today we had a 65 mile leg to do. We started in the dark at 0500
local time and arrived at Kordumuit in the dark. At least Intsomi arrrived
in the dark, Fat Annie just made it in
daylight.
It had been an eventful sail for Intsomi - spinnaker wrap - spinakker
halyard fouled - wind falling off at dusk - grrr we hate sailing!!! (but we'll
do it again tomorrow).
In the morning the splendour of Kordumuit was reavealed, nearly 300 feet
high, barren volcanic rock covered in bird guano. The picture shows Fat
Annie to the left to give an idea of scale.
