Left Cuxhaven this morning and motored up the Elbe with no wind but sun. Had to wait ages but eventually got into the big lock at Brunsbüttel with 2 big ships and a million yachts - organised chaos. We were let out into the Kiel Canal and the armada set off. After weathering a spectacular thunder storm and Dad getting drenched we pulled into this siding which is very pretty and we thought it was very peaceful until we've just had a big bouncy surge with fenders creaking. We are off to a town called Rendsburg tomorrow where we are hoping to stay for a few days. We've met two other boats from our rally in Cuxhaven so it was interesting to compare notes.
