We have had a couple of walks round the city centre and it is a really nice place with wide, straight streets and lots of parks and green areas with good views of the sea. We had a lovely meal in a restaurant the first night and then bought some delicious food to eat on board from a charcuterie - duck a l'orange last night and cold chicken and different sorts of salad tonight.
We have decided to stay here a few days as there seems to be plenty to see and do while the next gales blow through, then we are going to return to Falmouth for our repair to be done. Then we will cruise the channel coasts of England and France on our way back to the East coast. With such unsettled weather we are wary of going further south because of having to get back.
