We left Brighton yesterday and had a passage of sunshine and showers. It was quite interesting because we could see the showers approaching and had time to get our wet weather gear on before they arrived. The wind was very strange – hardly any of it to start with and coming from all directions until it settled down to a south westerly. We didn’t get much sailing done as it was directly behind us except for a short time when it got up to force 5. We went out to dinner last night to a fish restaurant we’ve been to before and had a very nice meal. We are waiting in Dover for a weather window and will go straight back to Shotley from here some time this week.
