We came from The Hamble to Brighton yesterday. Again there was no wind to start with but eventually it increaded and we were able to sail some of the way. The weather never really looked promising and sure enough it poured down so we huddled under the sprayhood steering with the remote control. We filled up with diesel and it poured down some more but eventually stopped, the sun came out and we were able to dry everything off. Unfortunately it is pouring down again today so we have had to postpone our walk into Brighton. We are thinking of moving on tomorrow but need to check the forecasts (rain and wind) before we decide definitely. Our consolation is that it’s not as bad as it seems to have been in some parts of the country.
