We're back in Shotley! We left Dover just after lunch and arrived back at about 10 o'clock. We dodged the showers and had sunshine a lot of the way. But just to remind us how wet the summer is just as we got off Shotley there was a thunderstorm with a squall and pouring rain so we arrived soaked and with John unable to see with the rain on his glasses. We are very relieved to be back as the forecast seems to be awful for the foreseeable future.
Despite the weather we have had a good time, seen new places and met lots of nice people. So this is the last blog until we go travelling again.
