Groundhog Day

It was another good night sailing with strengthening winds which made us furl the foresail and push us on with good speed.

We had not seen another boat for several days, and then we spotted two boats which later dropped out of view.  During the afternoon we spent several hours close to another ‘Pipistrelle’ with whom we made radio contact.  (Cabin fever has definitely settled in, as on the ARC GPS map, Pipistrelle is hundreds of miles north and behind Slipstream! WW2)

Other than that, it has been a bit of a ‘groundhog’ day unless you want to know that we cleaned the fridge (No!....WW2).  Only 400 or more miles to go to St Lucia.  We reckon its about 3 days sailing.  We should be at our destination by Thursday.  The thoughts are therefore turning to solid land and cold beers (will these feel awfully wobbly after all this time at sea?) 

Happy Birthday to Billy Homan from all the crew (and apologises from WW2, meaning probably Watford Wife rather than Wonderful Wife, for the late posting, and hence missing your special day, but they were all thinking of you, and no doubt raising a glass of ……… whatever is left on board to your good health Billy.  Hope you had a good one.  WW2)
