3rd August: L'Aber Wrach to Camaret sur Mer via the chenal de fou (35nm, 7 hours)

Lazy start - petit dejuener, cafe au lait, bacon et oafs, then enslaved the cabin boy (James) for tantricity with a local madam in exchange for du pain followed by the infamous 'Chenal de Fou' - Lucas we did take it on and we did have a couple of glasses of wine the night before and actually it was fine. Perfectly timed arrival at the start of the race care of master mariner Curnow means it is a very comfortable motor sail and then a great sail as we plough (reach) south and east across the bay to Camaret sur Mer. Park at the marina close to the entrance ready for an early exit and dinner and drinks on board.

catch of the day: nothing...actually technically 5 but they were mullet so effectively nothing as you cant eat mullet!
