Mariposa passed her safety inspection with flying colours yesterday.  Great credit to Rob here as there is a lot of detail (lengthy checklist) involved from having lanyards on the washboards (basically tying them to the boat so that in the event of a tumble they remain with the boat and could do their job if blocking up the large hole down the stairs!), names on lifejackets, life-rings etc (so that in the event that these are lost and found they can be traced back to Mariposa) and wooden bungs attached next to every hull fitting (in the event that we get a leak then it can be swiftly plugged!).  

On top of this and progressing all the other jobs Rob is single handedly managing to hold up Mariposa's end at the various parties/ social events each evening as I (Nick) am up in the mountains with the family for a few days and the rest of the crew arrive next week)!!
