Monday 14th January. We motored the 8 miles round to Prickly Bay, where we anchored. Walked up to the West Indies Brewery who did great ales and a lovely watermelon cider.
Allan and Edel are picking us up in their hire car tomorrow for a trip to the Seven Sisters Waterfalls.
We drove through the rainforset, then had a steep walk down a rocky path to the first waterfall, where Jon and I had a chilly swim.
After that we visited the Grenada chocolate factory- really delicious hand-made bars. Then it was on to the Rivers Rum distillery to taste their 70% proof rum. Finally we drove past Sauteurs leap where the slaves jumped from the cliffs rather than be forced into work for the French. Just along the coast were the Petroglyfs- 1000 year old rock carvings, not too impressive though I suppose they were ancient.
