Tuesday 29th May, we left Orio at 07.45, motor sailing on a run to San Sebastian. What a change! A beautiful bay, though tiny marina, so picked up one of the hundred or so empty moorings, the took the dinghy ashore to pay at the yacht club. Unfortunately the Spanish government says no moorings can be taken until June 1st, so we must move and anchor. Crazy!

A beautiful place though, lovely beach and a great walk up the hill to the huge statue of Christ at the top of the hill overlooking the bay. Mares Tail can be seen, the only yacht in the bay.

Wednesday 30th May. Arrived at Zumaia, a lovely peaceful marina, up a river. The beach here has amazing Flysch strata, that looks like pages from a giant book flung down. It is known worldwide for for showing 4 geological events over the last 50 million years through these layers of rock.
