Thursday 13th September.
A much quicker checkout here at Rabat, though the customs men are still looking for drones. At 09.40 we follow the pilot boat out of the harbour, and resume our new watch system for the much longer trip to Lanzarote.

We start off with the yankee up, but the wind very quickly picks up, so it is furled and we are flying along, heavily reefed in over 20 knots of wind. This wind keeps up for the next 4 days, often around 25 knots but fortunately from behind as the waves are also huge and rolling.

the nights are clear and full of stars, the watch system works and all is well.

We finally arrive in Arricife at 02.30 am on Monday 17th September. We spot Independance, Wolfgang's boat on the same pontoon.

Lanzarote is warm and sunny. Mike, Terry, Jonno and I loved the Cesar Manrique Fondacion, and also did a 15 km walk around the Caldera Blanca- an extinct volcano.
