Today at eight o’clock I climbed upstairs and I said goodbye to Julian and
Dave, whilst Harry and Catrin slept in there cabins, soon after we had waved
goodbye I went down stairs and I got dressed and I put my life jacket on. When
everyone had woken up and got dressed we began to approach the Cagliari Fuel
jetty, there was all ready a boat moored up there. Grandad began to talk to the
men who where on board this boat they said that the fuel wasn’t working. Whilst
we where waiting Grandad drove Zulu round in circles in the open space. After we
had had enough of waiting we decided that we wouldn’t go to Sicily today instead
we would go tomorrow. We motored out of the massive harbour and we set our
course to Villasimius.
On the way Daddy made water whilst Grandad and Harry set up the fishing
line and the trolling line. We soon decided to put up the main to stop us from
rolling over the waves, when we had put the main up I took Catrin downstairs to
play. Whilst we where playing Mummy came down and she said they have caught a
fish if you want to come a look. We didn’t get upstairs in time to see the fish
as it came of the hook, Catrin and I where told that the fish that we had almost
caught was a baby swordfish!
After all this excitement we arrived, we moored up onto the fuel jetty and
we filled up with fuel. I had to tell everyone when the fuel tanks where full,
when they where full I had to shout “full!” to let everyone know that we where
full of diesel. When we had filled up Daddy radioed the marina office before we
untied just in case it took them quite a while to find us a place. We ended up
in the same space which we where in last time.
After lunch we got out our beach kit and we jumped into our dingy, Mummy
drove she didn’t think she could do it but she did it in the end. When we had
dingied through the turquoise water we landed on the beach. On the beach the
first thing Harry, Catrin and I did was play in the clear sea, I went in deep
with Grandad, here I saw giant fish. I went into the water with our my snorkel
on instead I only wore my snorkel mask. I dived down to the bottom of the sea to
sea the fish clearer, there where millions of fish which where all different
shapes and sizes!
When we got back to the boat Daddy went to check in and to get a pizza
takeaway. When he came back we tucked into our pizzas whilst Grandma and Grandad
went out to a fish restaurant. After we had eaten our pizzas we went to
bed early as we had a 21 hour sail in front of us.
