When we had all woken up we set sail to Gouvia Marina, we put the main and
genoa up and we began to sail. There where lots of English people and Italian
people on the radio talking. In the distance I could see a huge marina full of
boats coming in or going out, we soon radioed the marina man to ask him if we
could get some fuel and if we could stay in his marina for two nights. He
replied and he told us where the fuel jetty is and where we will need to tie up.
When we where full of fuel we drove to where we were told to tie up.
Once we had tied up Catrin, Daddy and I we went to check in whilst Harry
would do his blog. Whilst we where walking to the marina office we met the
people on the catamaran in Santa Maria di Luca. They had their dog with them,
they told us that they had arrived here on Friday. When we where in the marina
office there was a big queue, luckily we didn’t need to wait in the queue we
checked in at a different desk. We then wondered to the port police – we had to
pay to be able to cruise around Greece this is called a dekpa.
Once we had finishes there we went to the chandeliers to get some charts
and we then went to the supermarket to get some bread for lunch, we then checked
out the swimming pool we where aloud to go in. Once we got back to the boat we
had our lunch we then put our swim things under the clothes, we then left Daddy
at the boat to make sure that if any boats come in that they won’t crunch our
boat.
At the swimming pool I was the first to get in I dived in, the pool was
warm even though there was no pool heating! At the pool Harry had swimming
lessons whilst I made friends with some German children. The German children
have a boat in the marina, we dived and we did jumps into the pool it was lots
of fun. When we had finishes in the pool we walked back to the boat, when we
where near the boat Daddy came over to us. No one had come next to us yet, we
decided that we would go to the pool again tomorrow. When we got back to the
boat we had popcorn and we watched some of Catrin’s new DVDs which she got for
her birthday. We then had tea during tea Parlo started to talk to us, eh told us
about himself and his boat, he said that he liked our dingy. Parlo had taken two
years of and he had sailed round the world. After our tea we went to bed as
today had been a busy day.
