Today when we had woken up Harry, Grandad and I went fishing, we used a
small hook which we attached some bread to. After a few try's we caught a blue
goldline!! On our very last go Grandad felt the line tug, I looked over the side
and I saw that we had caught another fish – the fish was a blue Goldline as
well!!
When we had caught these fish we went down stairs and we got ready to sail
to La Calletta, when we had checked out we set sail. For the first half of the
journey we motored, whilst Daddy and Catrin made water with the water maker. At
the stern Harry and Grandad had attached the fish that we caught to the line he
put this 30 meters away from the boat and he then did the same with the squid
lure. After a while Grandad winded the fishing rod in, on the end of the rod he
discovered that the fish had fallen of the hook that the had attached it to.
Just before lunch Mummy spotted a pod of bottle-nosed dolphins which were
hunting for fish near the boat. After we had eaten our lunch we put up the main
and we motor sailed the rest of the way, when we were almost there Grandad took
the hand-line in as it would get caught round our rudder if we didn’t take the
line in.
When we had arrived and when we had tidied up we relaxed peacefully in the
cockpit. Two people came up to our boat and they started to chat to us, they
were on a weeks holiday. When they left we wen tout into town to find a
playground, when we got there we saw that the playground was covered in dog poo.
We didn’t stay at the playground for long instead we went to an ice cream
parlour. When we got back to the boat we talked about how different this town
was from Porto Cervo. After this we had tea and we then got into our pyjamas and
we then watched TV, after this we went to bed in our cabins.
