Today after Harry and I had done our homework we went fishing with the
German boys. I found our old luminous yellow line, I tied a our hook onto our
line and I then put bread onto the hook. When my line was all set up I threw my
line into the water. Soon after we had lost all the bread I caught some tiny
fish which I put onto my line. The fish where still alive so when they where put
into the water they would swim. Whilst we where fishing Mummy, Catrin and Daddy,
they went to a supermarket to get food which we would use for the sail from
Sardinia to Sicily it will take the same amount of time as the sail from Menorca
to Sardinia. Julian (the twelve year old boy from the boat opposite us, his
older brother is called Dave.) caught a blue seabass with the tiny fish that I
and Dave caught. We had to call Grandad, he came and he wacked the fish on the
head with a winch handle, he had to use gloves as the fish shoots out spikes,
which can land in your hands ouch!! We let Julian and Dave keep the fish even
though they offered it to us. We didn’t want the fish as we had a freezer full
of sea bream and tuna.
When Mummy, Daddy and Catrin came back we put some nice clothes on an we
then went out for lunch with Grandma and Grandad’s Italian friends, Silvio,
Loridarno, Michalie and Carllo. We had a three coursed meal, Spaghetti, mussels,
fish and ice cream!! After Michalle, Harry and I had all eaten we went out to
the beach that was next to the restaurant which we where eating in. We played
Frisbee and football. After the meal Harry, michalle, Catrin, Mummy, Daddy and I
we all played on the beach which was next to the restaurant that we where eating
in. There was a wedding going on in the restaurant, the DJ was playing the music
really loudly, we all came home with headaches!!
Mummy and Daddy’s shopping had been delivered in the marina office, we
carried it back to the boat, Julian let Harry fish with his fishing rod, he
didn’t catch anything though. Harry was called in and told off as he was
stamping on mussels even though he had been told of once already!! After we had
unpacked the shopping Gran rang I told her about the flamingos who where
gracefully flying back to there lake. When we had finished chatting we had our
tea and we then went to bed.
