Mojo to Fiji  Wind Returning         Blog 11
757
During the early hours of Monday Morning the wind changed direction and began to increase and increase and increase settling at 15 knots and over the next few hours to 16 then 17 knots, great for making progress but the platform takes on diferent criteria, which means not only reefing the sails, but also reefing all onboard  to ensure they take smaller steps and always one hand for the boat, so dont move unless you are holding on, it soon becomes habit which can only be a good thing.
Crew just shouted Boat speed to 18 knots skipper, yes thats me, now I have to go and make a descision on what to do, we always reef to go through the night but have a few daylight hours left to make progress even though we are cruising.

Time management is also a prequal of the skipper and prior to arriving in Fiji we must move a day forward and 2 hours back in time, however as I am classed the captain of this vessel I can initiate whats good for the crew so when we awake tommorrow it will be Wednesday 22 September and we will be a day older which will all work when we call for the Fiji Navy.

So end of the day and we are getting 20 knots of wind across the decks everything that sails looks like a pocket handkerchief but we still continue forward, if it carries on we will be sailing bare poles and thats not a pretty site.

Stay tuned for entrance into the Nanuka Channel soon.
