Ron here again......

Well, this should be our last full day at sea (no fat lady heard yet). It seems strange to think that it's nearly over. I have no idea how I'll feel on arriving but it will be very, very good.... At the moment we are trying to get there at a time when people are around to give us a big welcome. (The smallest boat always has good support). We have made a lot of friends on the ARC, of all nationalities, and most of them will already be in, so I have no doubt it will  be very good with much cold beer on offer. What we don't want is to arrive early hours. At the moment I reckon we should be in Rodney bay by 7 or 8 which would be spot on. The other thing is that I'll be wonderfull to see St Lucia before it gets dark. I fancy a shot with St Lucia in the setting sun just below the Spinnaker, however, that won't happen as there is no way we'll be going in under Spinnaker in this wind and sea!.
The approach should be interesting as, after 2,800nm of downwind sailing, we have to round the northern end of the island then go hard on the wind to the finish line. We may even have to 'tack' though I'm not sure I can remember how to now! There will be photographer on the finish line  so that should be a shot worth having on the blog when I get a chance to sort some pics out. I'll be keeping the blog going after we finish  though it will depend on Wi Fi availability. Ok if good in marina, otherwise it'll be looking for cafes etc.
Only190nm  NM to go...........
