Hi All,

Further apologies for lack of updates but all should be well when I get my new PC at the end of the month. I still have to find Wi Fi but, at least, I'll be able to update more often and maybe include some photos as well.

I've been in Martinique now for about a month. It's a curious place and it's difficult to believe that you are actually in the Caribbean sometimes. It certainly is a much wealthier (and much more expensive) island than St Lucia but There is something about it that doesn't work for me. I think the main reasons are that they don't do Reggae and they don't play Cricket!  I mean, is that not what the Caribbean is all about?

It'll be nice to get away and get back to St Lucia which I'm using as a base. It'll then be St Vincent and the Grenadines through until June. I have a number of friends coming over and I'm really looking forward to that. One of the things I've become really aware of is that now the ARC has wound up, most of the friends I made have sailed away, mostly to the north where many will return to Europe. Trouble is that I've found recently that being on the boat by myself and in a place where nobody speaks English has lead to me talking to myself and, perhaps more disturbingly, in French. This makes life very difficult because I work out what to say in French but then I cant understand my reply!

More from St Lucia.........
