The Skipper again.....

A couple of tiring days and another couple to go but boat and crew are still in very good shape.

Having a navigator and a weather forecaster on board does make for some interesting discussion. It's  funny how, knowing where we are isn't enough any more. Not only does Larry calculate our ETA (in his head) using a realistic (though possibly conservative) 5kts but we log the times and work out the rate of change of these to give us an idea of our progress towards the finish. Why do we bother? well, sure, we just want to get there but how much nicer to get there in daylight with everyone there to welcome us in and how much nicer to see St Lucia appear over the horizon, especially with sun setting behind. At the moment our ETA is 15th at 0600 UTC  (0200 local time) but, hopefully, we can shave another 8 hrs off that without breaking the boat.

438 NM to go...........

Ok, The fish is back from whence it came.........
