Zahara: The story so far......

Hi, all
Ideally we could have done with a couple of easy days so we could have settled into a routine but it's been quite breezy and with a difficult sea and. However, it has given us a good start with Zahara covering 135nm for one 24hr period, not bad for a 29 footer. Problem is that I'm not sure they were all in the right direction!.....

We did have one problem though. 20-52kts, 3-4M seas and just as night was falling, the reefing line parted on the Genoa.
Being devout cowards we decided that, rather than bouncing around the foredeck in the dark we would wait until daylight.
The problem has now been fixed, though it did take some time and has, no doubt, cost us in terms of distance covered but at least we are now back on course, the sun is shining and the winds have decreased. Maybe now we can catch up on some sleep!
