Day 17 1200 Wednesday 9th December

We had a meal to remember last night. It was awful.

We’ve run out of fresh food and are resorting to tins. Now some food in tins is OK. Baked Beans are all right and so are black eyes peas. But sliced beef in gravy and sort of olive coloured green beans just doesn’t do it for me.

Now Barrie is a real man and he had seconds and then scraped the pot. But some of us are a little more discerning. The only redeeming part of the meal was the Yorkshire puddings. Well I would say that wouldn’t I? After all I mixed them.

I never though I’d regress so rapidly but “come back tuna – all is forgiven” is printed on my heart.
